Former commercial advertising photographer based in central London, Graham became Lead Tutor in Photography in the Faculty of Design at LCC and more recently helped develop a London based Post Graduate School for Speos Institute, Paris.

His research has concerned the history of the River Thames, including Victorian photographer Henry Taunt (1842–1922). Co-Author of a widely employed photographic textbook for Thames & Hudson,   published in the UK, USA and translated into Mandarin Chinese. His recent research with University College, Oxford, has involved an innovative method of archiving ‘born digital’ photographs and their context, safely into the 25th and quite possibly the 30th century for the scholars of those times.

Graham is a Co-Chair of EVA London Conference held at BCS each summer in collaboration with CAS, Art in Flux and The Lumen Prize, where he is presently  one of their panel of ‘long list’ judges.
