ME2.0, 2018
ME2.0 is an interactive, artificially intelligent facsimile of the artist that visitors are invited to converse with.
ME2.0 is trained on tens of thousands of communications that the artist has had over the past 12 years, via Facebook, Twitter, email and personal messaging services.
The piece explores what it means to be human over digitally-mediated communication technologies, the accuracy of internet companies' understanding of (and their ability to recreate) their human clients, and to what extent can humans outsource parts of themselves to new tools.
JACKTIONMAN is a London-based artist who specialises in mixed-reality installations that playfully explore humanity’s relationship with technology. Notable past exhibitions and performances include the Barbican, the British Library and the Rich Mix.
