A series of workshops, artist talks and a collaborative exhibition on Islamic Digital Art hosted by FLUX Events, ACAVA and Sara Choudhrey for the Grenfell Community at Maxilla Space, W10.
FLUX and artist Sara Choudhrey invite the public and local communities affected by the Grenfell disaster to explore new forms of artistic practice by focusing on Islamic digital art. Maxilla Space will open its doors to engage the local community with geometric and floral patterns as a means to contribute towards a collaborative installation artwork to be exhibited for public viewing.
Audiences of all ages are invited to take part in workshops developed to provide an understanding of Islamic art and the production methods for patterns from Islamic visual culture. Workshops will be jointly hosted and orchestrated by artist Sara Choudhrey, FLUX Events and ACAVA.
