Futurism in The Digital 3D, 2019
Video, 42 seconds
This project investigates recreating and interpreting a futurism painting, Simultaneous Visions, in the digital 3D world. Using critical analysis of the Futurism art form and more specifically the piece itself to guide me in how to model it. The project tackles problems which arise from this; such as the impossible nature of the piece, interpreting the location of objects within the scene as well as interpreting the different objects 3D shapes. Using an iterative and reflective method, I have documented the various techniques I used to achieve my final product; a 3D model of the artwork. This project is a showcase of Futurism art; as well as a guideline for future attempts to manually recreate this form of art in the digital 3D.
