Symbiosis (Cocoon version), 2015-2017

«Symbiosis» – is an interactive biofeedback installation. Two people at a time are invited to sit opposite each other to see their breathing transformed into light inside a reflective tunnel, using custom built contact sensors. As the two breathing lights meet, the LEDs magically sparkle. The interaction stimulates another form of communication beyond language and inhibitions. It teaches beneficial deep diaphragm breathing, and initiates a calm and expanded state of mind. The installation was created by multimedia artist KiRa (Kira Zhigalina) in collaboration with engineer Adrian Godwin, accompanied with interactive soundscape by Andrey Novikov.
