Memoria, 2018
Oliver Gingrich is a Notting Hill based artist, working with ideas of posthumanism and cultural identity across different media including multi-dimensional projection. Memoria is a brainwave interface, that was first conceived as a response to the Grenfell tragedy.
Memoria invites audiences to commemorate: A blank canvas serves as a mirror of the viewers' memories. Colours correspond to viewers' brainwaves, with higher concentration correlating to more vivid memories resulting in more vivid representations. Memoria invites visitors to actively evoke memories, to reflect and to commemorate. The piece shown at ART IN FLUX is a site specific iteration of the original.
